# BlockSquad

> A non-custodial cross-chain crypto bridge and swap. Move Bitcoin, Solana, XRP,
> Ethereum and EVM tokens between chains with no account, no identity check and,
> on most routes, no wallet connection. Every fee is itemised before you send.

## What it is

BlockSquad routes a transfer from one crypto asset to another across chains. It
never takes custody of funds at any point, on either route type. There is no
registration, no email, no password and no identity document — there is no
account system to attach one to.

Two route types:

- **Contract-less route.** Works from any supported origin, including chains with
  no EVM. You send the origin asset to a deposit address from wherever you hold
  it, and the destination asset is delivered to an address you name. No wallet
  connection is possible or required.
- **Smart-contract route.** Available only when the origin chain is EVM and a
  connected wallet can sign on it. Settles in one signature.

Both are quoted side by side when both apply, ordered by what you receive rather
than by what BlockSquad earns.

## Why Bitcoin origins work here

Bitcoin has no EVM to sign against, so bridges built around "connect your wallet
and approve a transaction" structurally cannot start a transfer from it. Sending
to a deposit address can. This is the substantive difference between BlockSquad
and wallet-first aggregators, and it applies equally to XRP, Litecoin, Dogecoin
and Cardano origins.

## Fees

- Contract-less route: 2% provider fee plus 0.5% BlockSquad fee, 2.5% combined.
  Both are already inside the displayed rate, not added at the end.
- Smart-contract route: live router costs, itemised separately before signing.
- In both cases the receipt states the total in dollars and as a percentage, and
  that total always equals what you send minus what you receive.

## What "no KYC" does not mean

It does not mean anonymous or untraceable. Both legs of every transfer settle on
public blockchains, permanently and readably. Deposit and destination addresses
are public records. BlockSquad collects no identity; the chains still publish the
transaction.

## Limits and risks

On-chain settlement is final. No transfer can be reversed by BlockSquad, by the
routing provider, or by anyone else. Funds go to the address you provide, so an
incorrect address means the funds are gone. Quotes reflect conditions at the time
they were produced and can move before a deposit confirms. The product is in beta.
